This British vehicle is one of the British army’s best reconnaissance vehicles during the Second World War.

In May 1944 the First Belgian Armoured Car Squadron (Belgian troops deployed alongside the British army) receive 18 of them, and name them after the platoon they belong to: A for the general staff, B for the 1st platoon, etc. Our item bears the colours of the famous Calamity, Lieutenant Dewandre’s Daimler, the first Allied armoured car to enter Brussels in September 1944! 

The First Belgian Armoured Car Squadron liberated, among other municipalities, Pont-Audemer and Pont-l’Évêque.
